The Course provides an overview of the: - Introduction to the concept of smart and sustainable buildings - Examples of applied technologies in buildings around the world - Exploring the ways that buildings try to be more sustainable and smart - Sustainable materials and eco-friendly construction techniques of a building - Resilience and climate adaptation in building design - Economic benefits of smart and sustainable buildings.
Learning goals and objectives:
Through this course participants will acquire general knowledge on the principles of smart and sustainable buildings. The course will cover basic concepts of the infrastructure of smart and sustainable buildings, of the key technologies used as well as of the different approaches and policies taken by municipalities and governments globally to create a “smarter” and more sustainable building of residence.
